Ingredients:
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Follow the directions on the package to cook the penne pasta until it is al dente
Remove the water and set it aside
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat
Add the minced garlic and cook until it smells good
Add the vodka and let it cook for a few minutes until it gets a little thinner
Turn the heat down to a low level and add the crushed tomatoes
Stir every now and then for about 10 minutes
Be sure to add the Parmesan cheese and heavy cream
Simmer for five more minutes, or until the sauce gets a little thicker
Add pepper and salt to taste
Put the cooked penne pasta into the pan and toss it around so that the vodka sauce covers it all
Add fresh basil leaves on top and serve hot
