Smoked Beef Ribs

Enjoy the rich, smoky flavor of these beef ribs that have been smoked just right. The dry rub uses a balanced mix of spices to make a delicious crust, and the slow smoking process makes sure the meat is tender and juicy. A real treat for barbecue fans!

Ingredients:

  • 3 racks of beef ribs
  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup black pepper
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • Wood chips for smoking

Instructions:

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim excess fat

In a bowl, mix kosher salt, black pepper, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub

Rub the mixture generously over the beef ribs, covering all sides

Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor

Prepare your smoker with wood chips according to the manufacturer's instructions and preheat to 225F 107C

Place the beef ribs on the smoker grates and smoke for 5-6 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature

Check for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the ribs; they are ready when the internal temperature reaches 195-203F 90-95C

Remove the smoked beef ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving
